Here are the ingredients you need for this Watermelon Sangria
See the recipe card at the bottom of this post for quantities.
- Fresh Strawberries - hulled and sliced (Reserve 1/2 cup for garnishing).
This yields about 1 1/2 cups of strawberry juice - Seedless Watermelon - rind removed, flesh cut into large chunks (about 4 cups). (Reserve 1/2 cup of smaller chunks or watermelon balls for garnishing). This yields about 6 cups of watermelon juice.
- Chilled Rosé Wine - not too sweet
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Vodka
- Grand Marnier
- Lime slices - for garnishing (optional)
- Mint leaves - for garnishing (optional)
Tips and Substitutions
- You can use White or Sparkling wine if you don't have Rose Wine. A dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc works excellent. Pinot grigio is also a good option.
I DO NOT recommend Red Wine for this Sangria. But remember, this is your summer cocktail, so pick what tickles your taste buds! - If you don't have vodka, a white rum can be used or omitted, but the sangria will be less alcoholic.
- If you don't have Grand Marnier, you can use Triple Sec or fresh orange juice, but again, the sangria will be less alcoholic.
How to make Strawberry Watermelon Rosé Sangria in 5 simple steps

- Pour the juice through a fine-mesh strainer into your large pitcher and add the lime juice.
- Wine Time: Pour in the chilled Rosé wine.
- Boost with spirits: Add the rest of the ingredients, vodka and Grand Marnier (or the orange liqueur of your choice)
- Chill Out: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
