This simple two-ingredient recipe for Guava Mimosas (Mimosas de Guayaba) is perfect for enjoying a lazy Sunday morning, recovering from the Thanksgiving festivities, or planning a Mother's Day celebration or bridal shower. This fantastic beverage is the perfect addition to your menu. It's a taste of the tropics in every bubbly sip!
Champagne flutes or flute-shaped glasses. Ice bucket to keep the juice and champagne cold (optional).
Ingredients
1 1/2cupGuava Nectar(or one 12-ounce can)
1750 ml bottle of Brut Champagne or Sparkling Wine of your choice(Brutworks excellent)
Optional - Mint leaves(For garnish. Mint leaves are optional but add a fresh and aromatic element to your mimosa)
Optional Guava paste cubes(For garnish. Add a beautiful garnish and an exquisitely sweet finish. I used Goya Guava Paste)
Instructions
Chill Your Ingredients: Ensure the champagne and guava nectar are well-chilled. Place your champagne glasses in the freezer for an extra frosty touch.
Pour Guava Nectar: Fill each champagne flute one-third of the way with guava nectar (or more, depending on your preferred level of sweetness).
Top with Champagne: Slowly pour chilled champagne over the guava nectar until they are complete. Leave some space at the top for garnishes.
Garnish with Mint leaves and some Guava, if desired. Add a few fresh mint leaves for a burst of aroma and color. I garnish with small skewers made of mini–Guava Paste cubes, adding vibrant color and an exquisite, sweet finish.
Serve and Sip: Cheers to your new favorite tropical mimosa! The tangy and sweet taste will make this a crowd-pleaser. Cheers! Salud!
