What is Guava Juice?
Guava juice is a delicious and nutritious sweet juice made from tropical guava fruit. It boasts a unique flavor profile that perfectly blends sweet and tangy. It is an exotic fruit native to Central and South America and is often available in grocery stores.
In Venezuela, GUAYABAS (Venezuelan name for Guavas) are a staple, and when in season, this delicious fruit is consumed daily in juices and various desserts. Having a Guava tree in Venezuelan backyards is very common, just like other tropical fruit trees like Mango and avocado.
What does Guava Juice taste like?
Guava juice has a sweet and tangy flavor, often described as a combination of strawberry and mango, creating a tropical blend of flavors. The level of sweetness and tanginess can vary depending on the variety of guava used.

Recipe variations:
Give your Guava Mimosas a unique twist with these variations:
- Try other tropical fruit juices: Pineapple, passion fruit, or mango juices can add different flavors to your mimosa. Or try pureed strawberries for a strawberry mimosa.
- Non-Alcoholic Mimosa: For a refreshing, non-alcoholic version, replace the champagne with ginger beer, lemon-lime soda, sparkling lemonade, sparkling water, sparkling cider, or club soda.
- Add a Splash of Triple Sec: Elevate your mimosa by adding a splash of Triple Sec for a citrusy kick.
Guava Mimosa Frequently Asked Questions
You can prepare the ingredients ahead of time and assemble them just before serving. Keep the champagne and guava nectar refrigerated until you're ready to pour. If mixed ahead of time, the champagne will lose its fizz if it sits too long.
Traditionally, mimosas are served chilled and don't typically include ice. The previously chilled champagne and guava nectar provide a refreshing experience without diluting the flavors.
Guava juice is not only delicious but also packed with health benefits. It's rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and dietary fiber, making it an excellent addition to your diet.

I always felt Mimosas are a bit boring (I mean, Orange juice, really?), but yours changed my opinion on them entirely. The guava adds just the right hit of tropical fruityness, making it a special drink indeed. Loved the added freshness from the mint leaves too!
