    Equipment

To make this easy shrimp bowl, you only need a few basics. Large skillet for cooking the shrimp. Small bowl to mix the shrimp with the seasonings, and a Medium Bowl to toss together the peach and avocado salad ingredients

    Ingredients and Substitutions

    Shrimp Ingredients

These are the key ingredients I use for my best seasoning for shrimp bowl recipes that never fail to provide the best balance of flavors.

    • Large shrimp (peeled and deveined) - I like using large shrimp because it's faster to peel and cook. But use any size as long as it is uncooked shrimp.
    • Smoked Paprika - Adds a savory and smoky flavor.
    • Spices - Cumin for a Latin spice touch, Garlic Powder, Oregano, and Cayenne Pepper for that extra spice kick
    • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil or your preferred cooking oil
    • Honey - to finish it with a touch of sweetness. Maple Syrup is a suitanle substitute.

    • Fruits and Veggies - Fresh Ripe Peaches (sliced. In a pinch, Fresh Pineapple is a suitable substitute). English Cucumber (thinly sliced), and Avocado (cubed) for that creamy avocado touch.
    • Red Onion (thinly sliced) - this add crunchines and a punch of flavor
    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • Lime (zested and juiced for that hit of fresh lime juice
    • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
    • Cilantro, chopped (or substitute with fresh herbs of your choice)

I'm a huge fan of fruit in savoury salads but typically pair fruit with chicken or halloumi cheese. This bowl was a discovery of the month for me - loved the smoky shrimp with peaches. Great lunch!

This bowl just looked and sounded way too good not to try it! Any salad with fruit tempts me, so I tried many over the years. But I never saw peach and avocado together (I was clearly missing out!) and it just feel like made for each other. Both with a creamy texture, the cucumber added just the perfect refreshing crunch and the shrimps, well...avo and shrimps is just like cocoa and cream, isn't it? Sure you could have one without the other, but why would you?
