This Decadent Dulce de Leche Martini Cocktail with Rum is an indulging treat that blurs the line between drink and dessert.
Recently, a dear friend gifted me a bottle of the new Kamora Dulce de Leche liqueur sparking my creativity to whip up a luscious cocktail perfect for the festive season.
Kamora's liqueur joins forces with dark rum, heavy cream, a hint of vanilla and a pinch of Cinnamon to create a smooth, delicious cocktail.
I created this creamy martini recipe inspired by this Venezuelan Ponche Crema, another festive holiday beverage. Pair it with this Crostini with Fig Jam Appetizer or a a cheese board featuring an assortment of cheeses, these Fig Preserves, and these Sweet and Spicy Pecans to kick off your celebration in style. So delicioso!

Ingredients for Dulce de Leche Martini
See the Printable recipe card at the bottom of this post for quantities
- Kamora Dulce de Leche Liqueur (the star of the show)
- Dark Rum (A good Venezuelan rum, Zaya or Captain Morgan are my go-to's)
- Heavy Cream (for that velvety texture)
- Vanilla Extract for flavor and aroma
- Ground Cinnamon - just a little pinch for a touch of spicyness and aroma
- Whipped cream for topping (optional, but highly recommended)
- Dulce de leche for drizzling (store-bought or homemade; see recipe below).
Note that caramel sauce and dulce de leche look and taste similar but are different. Dulce de Leche is made from milk and sugar, or from sweet condensed milk.
Instructions
Simple steps you need to know to create this drink

- Serve: Pour the drink into the chilled martini glass through a strainer to keep the ice from getting into the final drink.
- Garnish: Top off with a small dollop of whipped heavy cream and drizzle with dulce de leche over the top.
- Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for a festive touch if desired.
- Sip and savor: Appreciate this cocktail's creamy and indulgent taste and say SALUD!

It's easier than you think! You only need one can of sweet condensed milk and a medium-sized cooking pot.
- Remove the label from the can of the sweetened condensed milk.
- Cook at medium-high heat until it begins to boil, then lower the temperature to medium heat and cook for 3 hours, covered. Ensure the can is always fully submerged in water so add more as needed.
- Cool completely before opening the can.
